ORDERING A MOBY+ PRO

When you have completed your order, your subscription will automatically be paused until you have collected your bike. At this point your weekly rental period will begin.

All MOBY+ PRO bikes must be collected from our warehouse in Glasnevin. We will contact you to let you know your bike is ready for collection or simply email or message us for confirmation. Do not attend our warehouse without confirmation, please bring your order confirmation email and ID for verification on collection.

IS THERE MORE THAN ONE TYPE OF MOBY PRO EBIKE?

Yes, MOBY+ PRO is the subscription service, we have different but similar bike variants. Our primary MOBY+ PRO ebike is the highly popular Rad Runner (pictured above)

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Sign up here on this page, we will either have bikes available in stock or they will be on back order and you can expect to get a bike in a few days. Your order will be changed from PROCESSING to ON HOLD while we add you to the queue. Your rental period and subscription begin when you collect the bike. We will contact you to tell you to collect the bike. .

WHAT IS BACK ORDER?

If you order when the bike is on  BACK ORDER it may be up to two weeks before your bike is available. Your deposit secures your place for a bike and we operate a queue system.

I HAVE COMPLETED MY ORDER WHAT NEXT?

When you have completed your order, your subscription will automatically be paused until you  have collected your bike. Only at  this point your weekly rental period will begin. All MOBY+ PRO bikes must be collected from our warehouse in DCU Alpha, Glasnevin. We will contact you to let you know your bike is ready for collection or simply email or message us for confirmation. Do not attend our warehouse without confirmation, please bring your order confirmation email and ID for verification on collection.

IS THERE A MIN. RENTAL PERIOD?

The minimum rental period is TWO weeks (€100), if you cancel before then the cost will be deducted from your deposit. If you cancel before your order / subscription before you get your   a €5 transaction fee is applied. You can cancel your anytime after you two week period, simply let us know and return the bike to our depot. Weekly rental period is 7 day week to week, return bike on renewal day, pro rata refunds will not be issued. When your bike is inspected your refund will be issued and processed within a few days.  

CAN I SEE OR TEST A BIKE BEFORE SIGNING UP?

If we have bikes in stock it is possible to come to our depot in Glasnevin by appointment only. Contact us on facebook or email info@mobymove.com for confirmation, we are open Mon. – Fri, 9.30 – 4.30pm.

Please ensure to return all items when returning  your bike or cost may be deducted from your deposit.    

CAN I HAVE A SECOND BATTERY?

For some bike we have a limited number of second batteries, inquire with us on email or facebook.  We hope to have more in the near future.

USING AND STORING THE BIKE

The security of the bike is your responsibility for the subscription period. Your must lock and store bike safely indoors at night as if it were your own bike. Do not leave it unattended for extended periods, even locked around the city.  We recommend you use an additional lock when locking outside. Cycle the bike responsibly in accordance with the law, do not ride the bike off-road, on sand or on mountain bikes trails.  A helmet and hi-vis clothing is additionally recommended.

WHAT DO I DO IF I NEED A REPAIR?

Repairs and servicing are included in your weekly subscription. Simply return bike to our depot and the service team will look after you. Message or email to let us know when you want to come out and we’ll confirm.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MY BIKE GETS STOLEN?

You must lock and store the bike securely at all times in a responsible manner as if it was your own bike. We provide you with a very secure lock and guidelines on how to lock and store the bike safely. Some of the bikes are GPS tracked but this doesn’t guarantee they will be recovered.

In the event of the loss or theft of the Bicycle and/or the battery, you are obliged to report this to MOBY Bikes within 24 hours. Depending on the circumstances of loss or damage or the bike is unrecoverable, you will be fined 1000 EUR if you are a MOBY+ PRO Customer and have rented an electric bike other than the GIANT Model, 2000 EUR if you are a MOBY+ PRO Customer and have rented a GIANT Model Electric Bike. Your deposit will be considered the first €100 of any cost owed.

It is your duty to return all the accessories of the bike (Battery/Keys/Lock/Cable/Charger) remaining with you after the bike got stolen, to MOBY Bikes within one week of reporting to us regarding the stolen bike. Please note that failure to return the accessories will be subject to an additional penalty 350 EUR if you are a MOBY+ PRO Customer.

WHAT IS THE DEPOSIT?

We require a REFUNDABLE Security Deposit, which will be refunded if you return your bike without damage. Ensure you return, charger, lock and keys with your bike for refund. Your bike will be assessed by our head mechanic.  Normal ‘wear and tear’ if fine and expected with longer term rentals. More substantial damage will be judged against the actual cost of repair and deducted from your deposit when it is returned.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY DEPOSIT TO BE REFUNDED?

We are advised 7-10 days by our payment processor, typically it is a lot faster than this but please wait the full time before contacting us.
